The Neighborhood

A historic, busy neighborhood with quiet residential blocks just off the main strip

Haight-Ashbury runs from Stanyan east to Divisadero, with Haight Street as the commercial spine. The streets just off Haight, like Page, Waller, and Oak, are quiet residential blocks lined with Victorians, exactly the kind of terrain that makes for steady daily walks.

For us, walks happen on those blocks right around your home. We're not running destination expeditions into Golden Gate Park or up through Buena Vista Park. The focus is private, on-leash walks on the streets your dog already knows.

Haight Street itself is busy, especially on weekends. Our walkers know which side streets to use to avoid the crowds and how to keep dogs comfortable when the foot traffic on the main blocks picks up.

Walking the Quiet Side of the Haight

Private walks on the residential blocks just off Haight Street.

Side-street routing

Page, Waller, and Oak are lined with Victorians and stay quieter than Haight Street. We stick to those blocks for the calm, structured walks dogs actually need.

Haight Street crowd-tested

When a route does cross Haight Street, our walkers know how to read the crowds and time the busier blocks so dogs stay comfortable through the noisier stretches.

Victorian flat access

The Haight is mostly Victorians, Edwardians, and converted flats. We handle lockboxes, walk-up entries, and stair flats during onboarding so daily pickups never miss.

Walks happen on the residential streets right around your dog's home. We're not running destination expeditions into Golden Gate Park or Buena Vista Park. Privacy and safety come first, which means short, structured walks on the blocks your dog already knows.
No. Every Sniff and Go walk is private, on-leash, and one-on-one. We don't take dogs into off-leash dog parks because we can't control what other dogs there will do. The focus is structured walking on the residential blocks where your dog lives.
We set up access during onboarding. Most Haight-Ashbury clients use a lockbox, coded entry, or keys on file. We're comfortable with the classic Victorian and Edwardian walk-ups that the neighborhood is known for.
Membership plans start at $28 per walking day, billed monthly. Flex Walks for one-off needs start at $35 per visit. See our dog walking page for full pricing details.
