The Neighborhood

A family neighborhood that climbs in every direction

24th Street is the heart of Noe Valley, lined with independent shops, cafes, the Saturday farmers market, and Noe Valley Town Square between Sanchez and Vicksburg. From there, the neighborhood climbs steeply in nearly every direction toward Twin Peaks, Diamond Heights, and the views from Billy Goat Hill.

For us, that variety is the point. A Noe Valley walk can be a flat loop along Church Street, a steady climb up 27th toward Upper Douglass, or a quick jaunt over to the views at Billy Goat Hill. We pick the route based on your dog's age, fitness, and energy level that day.

Noe Valley is one of the more dog-heavy neighborhoods in the city, which means narrow sidewalks, a lot of close passes, and plenty of opportunities to practice loose leash skills. Our walkers handle it all with patience and structure.

The Noe Valley Playbook

Walks paced for Noe Valley's climbs and family blocks.

Climbs without overdoing it

Noe Valley goes uphill in nearly every direction. We pace 27th Street, the approach to Billy Goat Hill, and the routes around Upper Douglass to fit each dog's age and fitness.

24th Street smart

We pick the side streets when the Saturday farmers market is running or when 24th gets packed with brunch crowds. Calm for sensitive dogs, busier blocks for confident dogs.

Single-family access handled

Garages, garden flats, Victorian walk-ups. We set up access during onboarding so daily pickups stay simple no matter the building type.

Noe Valley FAQs

Common questions from Noe Valley dog parents

Yes. Noe Valley is one of our regular service areas, with walkers covering routes around 24th Street, Church Street, Castro Street, and the streets surrounding Noe Valley Town Square Monday through Friday.
Walks happen on the residential streets right around your dog's home. We're not running destination expeditions to Billy Goat Hill or Upper Douglass. Privacy and safety come first, which means short, structured walks on the blocks your dog already knows.
No. Every Sniff and Go walk is private, on-leash, and one-on-one. We don't take dogs into off-leash dog parks because we can't control what other dogs there will do. The focus is structured walking on the residential blocks where your dog lives.
We set up access during onboarding. Most Noe Valley clients use a lockbox, coded entry, or keys on file. We're comfortable with garages, garden flats, and the Edwardian and Victorian walk-ups common throughout the neighborhood.
Membership plans start at $28 per walking day, billed monthly. Flex Walks for one-off needs start at $35 per visit. See our dog walking page for full pricing details.
