The Neighborhood

A flat, dense neighborhood with the city's best central park

The Mission is one of the largest and flattest neighborhoods in San Francisco, anchored by Valencia Street, Mission Street, and 24th. The residential blocks just off the main commercial corridors stay quieter and make for some of the most walkable terrain in the city for dogs of every age.

For us, walks happen on the residential blocks right around your home, often the quieter side streets like Linda or the alley grid off Valencia. We're not running destination expeditions to Dolores Park or Balmy Alley. The focus is private, on-leash walks on the streets your dog already knows.

The Mission housing stock is a mix of Victorians, Edwardians, and converted commercial lofts. Some have secure entries, some are walk-ups. Our walkers handle all of it during onboarding so daily pickups are seamless.

Walking the City's Busiest Neighborhood

Private walks on the residential blocks just off Valencia and Mission.

Side-street smart

Valencia, Mission, and 24th move fast. We use the alleys, the side streets, and the quieter blocks like Linda and Clarion when the main corridors get too much.

Off-leash avoidance

Dolores Park is constant chaos with dogs we can't predict. We stay on the residential blocks around your home where every walk is private, on-leash, and structured.

Loft and Victorian access

Converted warehouse lofts, walk-up Victorians, secure mid-rises. We handle the access details during onboarding so daily pickups stay seamless.

Mission FAQs

Common questions from Mission dog parents

Yes. The Mission is one of our largest service areas, with walkers covering the residential blocks around Valencia Street, Mission Street, 24th Street, Dolores Street, and the surrounding streets Monday through Friday.
Yes. The Mission gets crowded fast on Valencia and Mission Street. Our walkers know which side streets stay quieter and how to time routes around the busiest hours so your dog stays comfortable.
No. Every Sniff and Go walk is private, on-leash, and one-on-one. We don't take dogs into off-leash dog parks because we can't control what other dogs there will do. The focus is structured walking on the residential blocks where your dog lives.
We set up access during onboarding. Most Mission clients use a coded entry, lockbox, or keys on file. We're comfortable with secure buildings, garage entries, Victorians, and the converted commercial lofts common throughout the neighborhood.
Membership plans start at $28 per walking day, billed monthly. Flex Walks for one-off needs start at $35 per visit. See our dog walking page for full pricing details.
