The Neighborhood

A sunny ridge with stairs everywhere and downtown views

Potrero Hill rises east of the Mission and is famous for its sunny microclimate, downtown skyline views, and the steep staircases that connect the upper and lower halves of the neighborhood. The commercial heart runs along 18th Street near Connecticut, with McKinley Square at 20th and Vermont serving as the main green space.

For us, walks happen on the residential streets right around your home. We're not running destination expeditions toward Dogpatch or the waterfront. The focus is private, on-leash walks on the blocks your dog already knows, with a steady routine that fits their age and how warm the day is.

Housing here ranges from sunny single-family homes on top of the hill to converted warehouse condos in the flatter lower stretch. Our walkers handle all of it during onboarding so daily pickups are seamless.

Walking a Sunny Ridge Full of Stairs

Walks that use the McKinley staircase or skip it depending on your dog.

Hill-paced routing

Potrero's residential streets climb hard in places. We pick the gentler blocks for senior dogs and the steeper grades for dogs who can handle them, all within a short walk of your front door.

Sunny microclimate aware

Potrero Hill is one of the warmest neighborhoods in San Francisco. We time walks for the cooler windows and watch for paw pad heat on sunny afternoons.

Loft and home access

Sunny single-family homes on top of the hill, converted warehouse condos in the lower flats. We set up access for both during onboarding.

Yes. Potrero Hill is a regular service area for us, with walkers covering routes around 18th Street, 20th Street, Connecticut Street, and McKinley Square Monday through Friday.
Walks happen on the residential streets right around your dog's home. We're not running destination expeditions toward Dogpatch or the waterfront. Privacy and safety come first, which means short, structured walks on the blocks your dog already knows.
No. Every Sniff and Go walk is private, on-leash, and one-on-one. We don't take dogs into off-leash dog parks because we can't control what other dogs there will do. The focus is structured walking on the residential blocks where your dog lives.
We set up access during onboarding. Most Potrero Hill clients use a coded entry, lockbox, or keys on file. We're comfortable with single-family homes, garage entries, and the converted warehouse condos common in the lower part of the neighborhood.
Membership plans start at $28 per walking day, billed monthly. Flex Walks for one-off needs start at $35 per visit. See our dog walking page for full pricing details.
